Time is the fire in which we burn. ~Delmore Schwartz
I’m still basking in the awesomeness of Thor the Dark World and all the exciting Marvel announcements this week, so my thoughts on life, the universe and everything are brief. Life is best lived through the story of others, because our own stories, at least in my case, read poorly.
Frequent visitors to the site may have noticed The Reasonable Critic’s awesome feedback on posts. I first want to plug his blog Panza Reviews that he’s had to step away from (aside from a brief pop in to review Ender’s Game). I’m grateful that he’s brought his insights to Killing Time and may even be doing some columns for us in the future. It’s much more interesting to get dialogue going on these stories than for them to sit unadorned, so I’m quite happy he’s agreed to play Statler to my Waldorf. Please, though, jump in and join the debates. We’re all stabbing the minutes together. No reason not to do it Caeser-style (ah Roman history murder jokes….classic me).
Killing Time milestones this week: Big week for the site as we picked up our 200th follower and I thank each of you for stopping by and making this so much fun to write. We also passed 1,200 posts; 34k hits; and 1,300 comments.
The most popular article of the week by far was The Final Poster for The Hobbit The Desolation of Smaug and Stills from the Third Trailer.
No new countries visited the site this week, but record traffic from Denmark, perhaps spurred by the return of the Odinson to theaters, so a tip of the cap to my Danish friends.
