Top 5: XBOX One Games So Far

Top 5

I was extremely blessed to get an Xbox One to augment the fun and shenanigans that go on here at Killing Time HQ shortly after the console launched.  It is an amazing system.  After playing Xbox 360 (and still playing) for six years, it is astounding to me how quiet and fast the XB1 is.  The thing is….and the PS4 can’t say any differently, this console generation launched without a signature game.  No Halo.  No exclusive title that would make the console a necessity.  Don’t get me wrong, I love mine and I think with Titanfall only two weeks away the start of the real next generation of gaming.  I maintain that it would have made more sense for both of these consoles to launch in 2014, but having played nearly every game available for the Xbox One thus far, these are the five best games you can get (I do still need to start The LEGO Movie Video Game, so that may well change this list).

1. Tomb Raider: The Definitive Edition
Tomb Raider, Tomb Raider The Definitive Edition, Lara Croft

2. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag
Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag, Edward Kennaway

3. Peggle 2
Peggle 2, Bjorn the Unicorn

4. Dead Rising 3
Dead Rising 3

5. Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare

    1. It is a really, really well done team shooter and if you were addicted to the first PvZ, then it just feels like you’re plopped down inside that world.

      1. That’s what really surprised me, I wasn’t a huge fan of the originals. I played them a few times and didn’t mind them, but I didn’t get hooked like everyone else, but this expansion on that world totally has my attention.
