FOX Announces Primetime Schedule for 2015-2016 TV Season *The X-Files Return and American Idol Goes One Last Round*

Muppets, Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie, Gonzo,

The theme of the fall season is now DEFINITELY “everything old is new again”.  After NBC resurrected Coach and Heroes and FOX brought back The X-Files and Minority Report, ABC has countered with the third incarnation of The Muppet Show, Uncle Buck  and another drama from Grey’s Anatomy/Private Practice/Scandal guru Shonda Rhimes.  Most interesting to me though is the absence of the rumored second Agents of SHIELD spin-off from the fall and midseason list of shows.  Coming Soon does the best job at giving the most detailed rundown and fall’s future, so read on below for their detailed take of what will be appearing on the Mouse’s network.  Just relax.  Grey’s Anatomy is back for season 12, Modern Family for season 7, Agents of SHIELD for season 3 and Agent Carter for season 2. POLL: What’s the Best Show on TV?

There’s a reason these polls run for a month, the really big decisions.  What’s the best TV show this year ran for a month and for that month, Game of Thrones lead 25 of those days with Arrow, The Walking Dead and Sherlock in a dead head behind it.  Then, at the last minute, Sherlock blazes past last year’s winner and takes the crown from GoT.  Sherlock is Killing Time’s 2014 Best Show on TV!

What do you think about the new champion?  Where did your show finish?

POLL REMINDER: What’s the Best Show on TV?

It’s that time of year again, Time Killers.  The fall is just around the corner and this fall is one of the most exciting in years, especially for comic fans.  Not only do we already have Arrow and Agents of SHIELD, but this fall we’ll add The Flash, Constantine and Gotham.  We’ll have a new Star Wars show in Star Wars: Rebels.

Game of Thrones is winning in the voting, but Sherlock, Arrow and The Walking Dead are certainly all within striking distance.  Can they rally?  Will Westeros claim the prize for a second year running?  It’s up to you!  Vote!

Here, though, we decide the annual question of “What is the Best Show on TV?”  Last year, the resounding winner was Game of Thrones.  Will it repeat?  Will Sherlock repeat its Emmy success and knock the king of his (wait for the pun) throne?  Get to voting!  You’ll have all month and then we’ll crown the 2014 Community Choice around October 1st!

2014 Emmys – Winners and Billy Crystal’s Tribute to Robin Williams

The Emmys have a long history of making me throw things even more than the Oscars do, so I normally do not watch them, but since this was Breaking Bad’s last year, I caught the show.  Seth Meyers did a nice job hosting.  Matthew McConaughey took no end of abuse for encroaching on television.  The night’s highlight, though, which I’ve included above, was Billy Crystal’s moving tribute to his friend Robin Williams.

Modern Family won Best Comedy for the FIFTH straight year and Breaking Bad dominated the night, as it should, winning Best Drama, Actor, Writing and Supporting Actress.  Full list of the awards handed out at the ceremony below courtesy of the AP.
