While I’m normally not much of a fan of the yearly, formulaic Call of Duty game, I really liked last year’s Ghosts. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (out November 4th for every vaguely reflective screen) Has no connection with Ghosts and is taking the battle (wait for it)…..TO THE FUTURE! The one thing I’m curious about is how much Kevin Spacey is actually in this game or if he has just a cameo role. Spacey’s character plays CoD to unwind on his show House of Cards so now Spacey has come to CoD. It’s an anything-can-happen-world folks.

Prevent the walking tank from being destroyed by the Drone Swarm in “Induction.”
Deadeye (10 points)
Score “excellent” in the shooting range in “Atlas.”
Grenadier (10 points)
Score “excellent” in the grenade range in “Atlas.”
Look Both Ways (10 points)
Kill all the KVA in the traffic section without damaging a civilian vehicle in “Traffic.”
Fire and Forget (10 points)
Kill 10 enemies with the Mobile Turret missiles in “Fission.”
Wheelman (10 points)
Finish the hoverbike drive hitting no walls or obstacles and taking no damage in “Aftermath.”
Sitting Ducks (10 points)
Kill 3 enemies with one shot of the Sniper Drone in “Manhunt.”
Party Crasher (10 points)
Kill 20 enemies with the Grappling Hook in “Sentinel.”
Restricted Airspace (10 points)
EMP 10 enemy aircraft out of the sky with the hovertank in “Bio Lab.”
Man Overboard! (10 points)
Melee an enemy so they fly off the side of the ship in “Armada.”
Maverick (10 points)
Shoot down 10 enemies with machine guns in “Throttle.”
Heavy-Handed (10 points)
Go through 20 gun drops in one-armed combat in “Captured.”
Exo Survival Veteran (10 points)
Play 50 Exo Survival Matches.

I wish my life was organized enough that I could set aside some time to familiarize myself with the gaming world. The only game I ever got into was Starship Titanic, and that was just because my fanaticism for Douglass Adams is surpassed by only by my fanaticism for SW. Did you ever play it? And if so, are there similar games out there I might enjoy? I really don’t know. One day I was playing Super Mario Bros. 3, and then I blinked and Kevin Spacey was appearing in CoD.

Actually no, but come on, gamers, I know you’re all skulking here copying down achievement lists, one of you had to have played it! I think with modern games, you’re looking at it the right way, go into a Game Stop, find someone who liked Starship Titanic or knew of it and then they can point you down a path of games and you branch out from there. CoD is not really my cup of tea, though I thought that last year’s installment was the best in quite awhile. I rent them like I would a Hollywood blockbuster and beat them in two days.
