AAAAARRRRGGGGH!  Why in the world would you give away your movie in a trailer?  WARNING: If you do not want to know a HUGE plot twist in Terminator 5, do NOT watch this second trailer for the film.  I almost didn’t post it, but I’m giving people the choice of whether they want to know or not.  To be frank, it’s going to be played in front of so many films before Genisys opens in July, you probably don’t have a choice of avoiding what is a complete franchise-changing plot twist.  I’ve seen a lot of films reveal their entire plot in a trailer before, but I don’t know that I’ve ever seen this big a film hand over a “Luke, I am your father” type of moment in a trailer released two months and change before the film.

I don’t even know whether I think the twist is clever or not.  I can’t really digest it the way it should have been revealed (when it might have been a brilliant, jaw-dropping moment) and unless Terminator: Genisys is the only film you see between now and its release, chances are you won’t be able to either.  Unless this is some amazing bait-and-switch, I think this may be the most damaging trailer to a film’s plot structure that I’ve ever seen.  Still want to see?  Up to you…
