X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters tonight, and it will be following the KT Readers’ pick for Best X-Movie of All-Time: X-Men Days of Future Past. Just edging out this year’s Deadpool, DOFP captured the crown in voting that saw nods to six of the eight existing entries (someone voted for X-Men Origins: Wolverine….I want to find you). My favorite film in the series is X2 followed by X-Men: First Class, but the readers have spoken and DOFP is our official answer to The Mutant Question.
How did “Origins” get more votes than “The Wolverine”?

DOFP? I am frankly amazed. Not that I didn’t enjoy it, but… really.

The people speak. That’s what the polls are for. Deadpool almost won. This was an abbreviated run, I usually do them for a month and if I had, I’m pretty sure it would have.

Sorry I was not trying denigrate anyone’s opinion. Art is subjective. One of my favorite movies is Cabin Boy. I am told it is one of the worst ever made but it taps into my love of old Harryhausen movies like Jason and the Argonauts and the Seventh Voyage of Simbad the Sailor. I watched those movies when I was sick as a kid, to cheer myself up.
I’m just surprised that DOFP got so much love, that’s all. Though Quicksilver and the presence of Perer Dinklage count for a lot.

Did I just admit to liking Cabin Boy?

So much credibility lost so quickly.

It’s a weird emotional connection. I get those sometimes.
