  1. Is it just me, or are teaser posters generally better than the ones that accompany the actual releases? The WW poster is fantastic, and I want the LEGO Batman poster hanging in my house. The Kong poster is great too, and it reinforces one of the things I thought about the trailer, which is that the mythology is being refocused through Apocalypse Now.

Somehow it slipped past my radar that they were rebooting Blair Witch. For better or for worse, the first one is a part of film history, because it kicked off an entire subgenre. But the premise is thin gruel indeed.

    1. Well, Blair Witch was a switcheroo. It was a project called The Woods until that poster was unveiled. I think teaser posters are generally better because they’re less focused on cramming every star into the frame. I definitely got the Apocalypse Now vibe from Kong, which is probably my favorite trailer from SDCC 2016.
