The WWE (formerly the WWF) isn’t what it once was. It used to be a guilty pleasure of mine dating back from when I was a kid and Hulk Hogan ruled the roost through the “Attitude Era” of The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin. I had a group of friends who would get together every Monday night for our manly soap opera, and it was good, stupid fun. Right now, so many of their superstars have aged out, been injury plagued, or in the case of this year’s cover boy Brock Lesnar, constantly suspended for steroid use (which used to be encouraged, dangit!) that the product is bloated and bland. That doesn’t mean that it’s still not hugely popular as is the yearly WWE 2K game.
