Site Note: Back to Schedule Tomorrow

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.  I needed a break from staring at a computer screen, so apologize for the lack of posts, but in the upcoming week look for a special epic review of The Arrival, Moana, Hacksaw Ridge and The Edge of Seventeen.  My Favorite Scene this week will look at The Big Short.  There are some new trailers headed your way, achievement/ trophy guide for Final Fantasy XV (which releases Tuesday), and remember to vote in the “Favorite Harry Potter” movie poll.  It will run until December 12th.  The following poll will mirror what we did last year with Star Wars Episode VII.  We’re going to have a community review poll, where you can rate your score from 1-10 after you view Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

  1. You’re a good man Dave. I hope the Thanksgiving weekend worked for you. I’m pretty sure mine was better than Warren Beatty’s, so that’s something to be thankful for.

The actor from ANH who played the Imperial with the mutton chop sideburns passed away. I loved that guy, because his sideburns are the only elements in the movie that indicate it was made in the 1970’s. There are no small parts in Star Wars. It seems that everyone involved deserves to be remembered for one reason or another.

I’m looking forward to those reviews! Especially The Arrival. I know you’re not a Blade Runner fan but it’s on my list of the top ten greatest movies ever made (seriously it’s a masterpiece of cinematography and production design that balances action and philosophical ideas way better than The Matrix) and I need to watch all of Villenvue’s movies before I see the sequel. Because I’m more than a little apprehensive.

    1. I doubt you will be after you watch Villeneueve’s movies (though, warning, Prisoners is one of the darkest movies I’ve ever seen …..also one of the best, but fair warning. Maybe start Sicario)
