Justice League Trailer #3 (2017) *Now THIS is More Like It!!1*

For the second year in a row, the WB panel featured a look at Justice League.  Things, however, are very different than they were a year ago with massive reshoots, the director change to Joss Whedon following Zack Snyder’s family tragedy, and the unexpectly wild success of Wonder Woman.  This is BY FAR the best look at the film so far, the most cohesive trailer, and not only is it noticeably more Wonder Woman-intensive, it carries the same tone.  It also gives us the first look at the film’s villain: Steppenwolf (NO NOT THE BAND), who will inevitably lead us to Darkseid.  I feel a lot more optimistic about this after this year’s look than last year’s.  Justice League will open November 10, 2017.  For a full plot summary, read below.
Justice League

Justice League stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, Billy Crudup as Henry Allen, Amber Heard as Mera, Kierset Clemons as Iris West, with J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon, and Amy Adams as Lois Lane.

Fueled by the hero’s restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Justice League sees Bruce Wayne enlist the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Directed by Zack Snyder (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Man of Steel), the screenplay is by Chris Terrio from a story by Snyder and Terrio. Filmmaker Joss Whedon is set to helm the upcoming additional photography for the sequel and oversee the completion of its post production following a family tragedy with Snyder. Justice League is produced by Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder, Jon Berg and Geoff Johns. The executive producers are Jim Rowe, Wesley Coller, Curt Kanemoto, Chris Terrio and Ben Affleck.

Justice League will open in theaters on November 10, 2017.

  1. Okay, I’m on board. They finally sold me, and got me to hope for the best. Snyder must really be all but gone. The reshoots, and then Joss Wheadon… understand that I am in no, way, shape or form trying to imply that there were any good consequences stemming from the suicide of Snyder’s daughter, and I think the callous comments that people made on the net at the time were psychopathic and grotesque. I’m just pointing out that I sense some new captains here, and they are captaining a somewhat reworked ship. That’s if you can trust a trailer, and I think this one can be trusted, just a hunch. I don’t think they could have taken a movie that’s in the spirit of BVS, and made its TRAILER align perfectly with the style/spirit of WW (although they sure go out of their way to highlight her).

    1. It just FEELS so much more right. I can’t say its all Whedon and Johns because there’s just no way to have redone everything, so I give Snyder some credit, but this trailer had WW’s tone and it was cohesive. It had a plot you could follow; it wasn’t just random noise like the last trailer. I feel SO much more confident about the film after seeing this.

      1. I’m sorry, but I give Snyder no credit. The last trailer was jaw-droppingly cool, and also random noise that portended another disaster is the exact same vein as what had come before. That has now changed. This actually does not look AS cool to me as the last trailer, it just looks so much better overall. Snyder is too big a nerd for his own good, and no way his style would ever have meshed with notes from up above.
