Scarlett Johansson isn’t even in her mid-thirties and she’s already put together a huge resume of quality dramatic, action, and vocal work. Her six outings as Black Widow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe have made her the highest-profile female super hero (who NEEDS HER OWN MOVIE), and is probably the best female action star working today. Her voice is so distinct and versatile that she could float out the rest of her career just doing voice over work (Jungle Book, Her, Sing). She’s been acting since her teens so her resume already has over 50 films to it, and her versatility allows her to do so many different kinds of roles that she’ll no doubt be able to skirt Hollywood’s female age ceiling as her career continues to develop.

My Favorite Johansson Scene:
“The Interrogation” from The Avengers (2012)
Next Film: Johansson will next appear in Taika Waitit’s follow-up to Thor: Ragnarok, Jojo Rabbit and a Noah Baumbach directed film before returning to the MCU for Avengers 4.
I give her props for getting away from the “boring love interest” trap. Her signiture role is one of the best superheroes in the MCU, her voice work on Her and JB stands out, GITS I am trying to forget, but you can’t say she did not own a big action movie as its star. Even when she does play a love interest in a film that perhaps fails the Bechdel test, she chooses quality films, and stands out instead of blending into the set.

She has a face the camera ‘loves’ … I’m impressed with her versatility, she’s not afraid to stretch herself. 🙂

Lost in T. only 10? That was far superior than any Marvel film she did.

I know a lot of people love that film, but it didn’t click as much for me, but she was certainly impressive in it. I think it’s that I don’t like Sophia Coppola as a director more than anything Scarlett had to do with the film; that’s the fun of the lists and perhaps I’ll rewatch it and shake it back up. That’s the fun of being Lord of the List! Lol thanks for the comment and the follow!
