The insanity that is Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool will be back for more on May 18th, but this time with his partner: bounty hunter for the future and perpetual crankypants – Cable. Josh Brolin is pulling heavy superhero duty between Deadpool 2 and Avengers: Infinity War in May. The final trailer for the film delves more into X-Force’s roster, and gives the barebones for the film’s plot while also taking time to be utterly absurd (and honestly, would we have it any other way?). DP2 tickets are available for presale now. The film opens in theaters May 18, 2018.

Ryan Reynolds is reprising his role as the Merc with a Mouth alongside Zazie Beetz as the luck-manipulating mutant Domino and Josh Brolin as Cable, the time-traveling son of the X-Men’s Cyclops. Jack Kesy (The Strain, Baywatch) is attached to play the film’s central villain, which, while unconfirmed, is rumored to be Irish mutant Black Tom Cassidy. Japanese actress Shioli Kutsuna and Julian Dennison (Hunt for the Wilderpeople) have also joined the film in mystery roles.
After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.
Other stars returning from the first Deadpool include Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and Stefan Kapicic as the voice of Colossus.
So, I’m not going to criticize the awesomeness. God no. But this showed way too much, as all hype machines do by the time they reach thier final trailers. Obviously this did not give too much plot away, and kudos to them for that, but everyone was already sold after the last trailer. 95% of the time, marketing is no longer an art, but a data dump.
On a more positive note, this stuff I wish they hadn’t shown me? Whooooa.

I might have the dark part down, but I would think my lack of incoherence would show that I wasn’t working for the DCEU. On another note, I’m sorry for being a wet blanket. This movie will most assuredly rock.
It also occurs to me that you might actually like Amy Schumer, and if that’s the case, my apologies for making that comment yesterday. I don’t feel very strongly about her either way. Though if you do a search, you will find incontravertable evidence that she is in the habit of (ahem) borrowing material.

I don’t dislike her, but I think she rarely lives up to her potential. Trainwreck is by far the best she’s done.

I can’t believe Avengers is just around the corner. It occurs to me that I’m looking forward to a lot of movies this year.
Are you aware of the Happytime Murders? If ever there was a movie destined to not be promoted, then bomb, it’s this one, but Brian Henson making a puppet film noir for adults is one of those must-see films for me.
