POLL RESULTS: 2016’s Most Anticipated Film is….

If Batman vs. Superman had released their trailer a week or so earlier, they just might have caught 2016’s most anticipated film, according to the Killing Time Community.  Captain America: Civil War lead from wire to wire, holding off a charging Batman for a narrow win.  It was a very wide spread in terms of the most anticipated movies, but people (at least our target demographic, which admittedly is pathologically nerdy nerds) don’t seem sick of comic book films.  Star Wars’ first spin-off film, Rogue One, finished in third place, with DC’s Suicide Squad in fourth and the next entrants in the X-Men and Harry Potter universes tying for fifth.  Thanks to everyone who voted.  A pox on you lazy hangers-on who did not, and we’ll have a new poll up in just a few days.  IT IS NOW TWO WEEKS UNTIL STAR WARS (make sure your lightsaber is in working order).

Trailer Time: Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice Trailer #3 (2016) *I Just Have a Bad History With Freaks Dressed Like Clowns*

I guess Jimmy Kimmel Live has become the new battleground for super hero trailer wars.  A week after Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. delivered the first trailer for Captain America: Civil War, Ben Affleck dropped by with the third full trailer for Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice.

I hated the first trailer, I was very much encouraged by the second trailer and – while I have some concerns – the third trailer absolutely is the best.  It gives away too much plot is my only concern and confirms Doomsday and who Doomsday is.  But this whole fight looks like an orchestration of Lex Luthor playing on a natural dislike that each man has for each other.  It feels very true to their characters, and while I still have some concerns about the packed nature of the film, I’ll be there March 25th when it opens.Batman, Superman, Ben Affleck, Henry Cavil, Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice

Trailer Time: Batman vs. Superman Dawn of Justice (2016) Sneak Peak

Soooo….Superman is not happy.  I’m worried that they’ll make a villain out of him in BvS and that’s a big mistake if you want a large, sustainable DCCU.  Now, there is also the possibility that Batman has done something incredibly irritating in this scene (Bruce kind of waxes to the dickish at times), but we’ve been given a sneek peak at Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice (due out March 2016) and Clark is…not….amused.
