Peter Capaldi Confirmed As New Doctor Who
He is perhaps the finest swearer in our language and your next Dr. Who.
Well after the long speculation that the new Dr Who would be either black, a woman, a black woman the new Time Lord has been revealed. And he has chosen to take the shape of………………………………… a middle aged white dude. Well done for pushing the boat out there BBC.
In truth though, of all of the middle aged white guys they could have chosen, Peter Capaldi is a fine piece of casting. The man is a British treasure. The Thick Of It, one of the finest British comedies of recent years, would have been nothing without his creative tourettes. And while his new role wont allow quite the linguistic latitude that Malcolm Tucker did, he will undoubtedly be a fine addition to the Dr Who legacy.
