Kylo Ren Reacts to The Last Jedi Trailers

Auralnauts is a YouTube channel you should be following if, for no other reason, to get their Kylo Ren’s reaction to the latest Star Wars news and trailers.  Sounding uncannily like Adam Driver, Kylo will give you his take on the trailers and review Star Wars films he’s not even in (here’s his review for Rogue One).  They’re always hilarious, the more so the bigger a Star Wars nerd you are.  Ren was especially a fan of the beginning to the latest The Last Jedi trailer (he also wants a porg).  Check it and Auralnauts out.  They mint mirth.  Happy Saturday to all!

“I am LOVING this trailer so far!”

As a bonus, here’s Kylo trying some less aggressive interrogation techniques.

What if Rey’s Not a Skywalker? What if She’s a Palpatine? Not So Crazy…

The assumption regarding Rey’s parentage is that she is the daughter of Luke Skywalker.  I would actually like this to be true because, let’s face it, Luke has had a crappy life and being reunited with his daughter would be heart-warming stuff.  However, out of all the crazed alternate theories circling the InterTubes, THIS makes sense.  I’ll leave it to you all (and by that I mean Peter and I) to hash out on the message boards, but watch the video and here’s an excellent breakdown of the points by Andrea Romano from Mashable. POLL: What’s Your Review for Star Wars Episode VII?

Kylo Ren, Star Wars Episode VII

Star Wars Episode VII seems poised to break every opening weekend record that exists.  Friday, it made over $100 million.  IN ONE DAY.  This is a movie event that happens so very rarely: a highly-anticipated event film that surpasses even the wildest expectations.  Throw on top of that the Star Wars factor, and we’re dealing with a phenomenon that most of us have never seen in our lifetimes.  So, my review (spoiler-free version, spoiler-drenched to come after everyone gets the experience) is up and can be read here.  However, this is such a community event for fans, that I’ve decided to hold the first ever Killing Time Community Review Event.  You’ll have one month, probably bare-minimum the film will rule the top of the box office, to see the film and rate it from 1 (awful) to 10 (on par with the best Star Wars films of all-time).  So get your votes in, and we’ll see what the community consensus is for this latest entry in the the Star Wars Saga.
