Trailer Time: Super Bowl XLVII Movie Trailers

Iron Man 3

Fast 6

The Lone Ranger

World War Z

Oz: The Great and Powerful

Star Trek: Into Darkness

For those of you who watched the Blackout Bowl last night, as per usual, there were several very quick new looks at films coming out this year.  An annoying new twist was showing a snippet and then telling people to go to the film’s Facebook page (DISNEY, looking at you).  Aside from Iron Man 3, there was really nothing new I’d seen here, but I have to say the most surprising thing is I actually kind of want to see Fast 6 now…and I don’t know how that makes me feel about myself as a human being.  At any rate, where there is an extended trailer, I have posted that one, and you have here Oz: The Great and Powerful, The Lone Ranger, World War Z, Star Trek: Into Darkness, Iron Man 3, and The Fast and The Furious 6 in HD trailery goodness.

Top 5: Most Anticipated Movies of 2013

Top 5: TV Episodes of All-Time (Comedy Edition)

Last Friday on the Top 5, we looked back at 2012 in film; today (belated though it is) we look onwards to 2013 and my five most anticipated films of the year.  Rarely does my MOST ANTICIPATED FILM end up being my favorite.  Last year, I was pretty sure it was going to be Dark Knight Rises or The Hobbit and I was happily proved right.  But what about 2013?  What looms on the horizon?

1. The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug

2. Star Trek: Into Darkness

3. Elysium

4. Man of Steel

5. Ender’s Game

This is not to say that I’m not looking forward to others (World War Z, Oblivion, Iron Man 3, A Captain’s Duty, Catching Fire, Monsters University, etc.) but these are the films that stand over the firmament.  Will one be my 2013 Film of the Year?  Time shall tell.  What are you looking forward to this year?

Marvel released it’s newest look at Iron Man 3 today, and from this and the first trailer, this looks like it’s going to be a tough film for Tony.  Look for a new IM3 spot to debut during Sunday’s Super Bowl.
