Venom Teaser Trailer #1 (2018) *A Venomless Venom Trailer*

Sony has released the first teaser for Venom and it’s a true teaser, giving very little away about the film.  Venom, butchered in Spider-Man 3, is one of the most popular villains/anti-heroes (depending on the host) in Marvel Comics, and Tom Hardy is a great choice to embody that.  I’m not sure what Sony intends with its Spider-Man-free Spiderverse.  I think rather than give Tom Holland up, Disney would rather buy Sony at this point.  What we do know about the film is summarized by Coming Soon below.  The film also stars Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Jenny Slate, and Woody Harrelson.  Venom will hit theaters October 5, 2018.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 Complete Achievement List (XBOX, PS4, PC – 2017)

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes was a gigantic game with so much to do that I never approached finishing anything other than the campaign.  So the sequel, naturally, is even bigger with several huge hub worlds, a campaign through time and space, and over 200 Marvel characters to find and add to your army of plastic heroes and villains.  Kang is the big bad in this game, and I am going to spare you the bare minimum five paragraph explanation on who he is….but he’s a big bad.  The emphasis is on Guardians and alternate versions of our heroes, but the traditional Avengers are still there.  Get to building.  This one is already out.  Achievements below courtesy of xboxachievements.com. The Punisher Season One Trailer #3 (Netflix – 2017) “The Only Person You’re Punishing Is Yourself”

I’m not sure why they’re calling this the second trailer when it’s actually the third (I can never tell what’s a teaser and what’s a trailer any more).  The Punisher looks like it’s locked and ready to rock on the FINALLY revealed release date of November 17, 2017, all 13 episodes posting at midnight on Netflix.  The third trailer gives a better idea of how they’re going to continue his story past the initial revenge for his family (because Frank’s crusade is never going to be done; in a lot of ways he’s Batman if he let himself just completely loose of his code).  Metallica is apparently The Punisher’s official band, and I can’t see anything wrong with that.  This looks like it’s going to kick off the next era of MCU on Netflix with (wait for it) a bang. Read Coming Soon’s plot synopsis below.

After exacting revenge on those responsible for the death of his wife and children, Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) uncovers a conspiracy that runs far deeper than New York’s criminal underworld. Now known throughout the city as The Punisher, he must discover the truth about injustices that affect more than his family alone.

The series is executive produced by showrunner Steve Lightfoot (Hannibal), Jim Chory (Marvel’s The Defenders) and Jeph Loeb (Marvel’s The Defenders), who also serves as Marvel’s Head of Television. Marvel’s The Punisher is produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios for Netflix.

The cast also features Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Girls, The Lake House), Deborah Ann Woll (Marvel’s Daredevil, True Blood), Ben Barnes (Westworld, The Chronicles of Narnia), Amber Rose Revah (Emerald City, Indian Summers), Michael Nathanson (The Knick, The Wolf of Wall Street), Jaime Ray Newman (Bates Motel), Jason R Moore (A Lonely Place for Dying), Daniel Webber (11.22.63) and Paul Schulze (Nurse Jackie).
