Thor: Ragnarok Trailer #2 (2017) “Thor Like Water; Hulk Like Fire!”

This looks amazing….except for the 80s arcade lettering, which I don’t get, but this is going to be fantastic!

In Marvel Studios’ Thor: Ragnarok, Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok – the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization – at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger – the Incredible Hulk!

Thor: Ragnarok will feature the return of Chris Hemsworth as the God of Thunder himself, with Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, Idris Elba as Heimdall and Sir Anthony Hopkins again portraying Odin. The film also stars Cate Blanchett as the death-obsessed Hela, Tessa Thompson as hero Valkyrie, Jeff Goldblum as the eccentric Grandmaster and Karl Urban as Skurge. Also among the cast is Sam Neill, reuniting with Taika Waititi, who directed him in his previous film Hunt for the Wilderpeople, and his Jurassic Park co-star Jeff Goldblum. Finally, as teased at the end of his solo film, Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange will team with the God of Thunder to deal with Loki.

Kevin Feige will produce the film, joined by executive producers Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Victoria Alonso, Thomas M. Hammel and Stan Lee. The screenplay hails from Stephany Folsom, Craig Kyle, Eric Pearson and Christopher Yost.

Thor: Ragnarok will smash its way into theaters on November 3, 2017.

Stranger Things Season 2 Trailer #1 (2017-Netflix) *Something Stranger This Way Comes*

Netflix doesn’t release its numbers like networks, but Stranger Things is rumored to be the streaming service’s most-watched series yet.  Last year’s cult phenomenon got a Super Bowl spot this time around, and the second season will premiere just in time for Halloween on October 27, 2017.

Will Byers has been rescued from the Upside Down but a bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived.

Stranger Things Season 2 will star Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Natalia Dyer, Cara Buono, Charlie Heaton, and Matthew Modine. New cast additions include Sadie Sink (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), Dacre Montgomery (Power Rangers), Brett Gelman (Blunt Talk, The Other Guys), newcomer Linnea Berthelsen, and ’80s icons Sean Astin (The Goonies) and Paul Reiser (Aliens).

Ready Player One Trailer #1 (2018) “Are You Ready To Play?”

There is not a vast body of classic video game literature, but the holy grail in it is Ernest Cline’s Ready Player One.  Straight from the Warner Bros. panel at Comic Con is the first look at Steven Spielberg’s adaptation of the novel slated for a March 2018 release.  The first trailer seems to focus on the F/X and not the novel’s amazing plot, which hopefully will seen in upcoming looks (we are nine months out, after all).

Ready Player One

Set in the near future, Ready Player One follows outcast teenager Wade Watts (Sheridan), who escapes from his bleak surroundings by logging in to the OASIS, a globally networked virtual utopia where users can lead idyllic alternate lives. When eccentric billionaire who created the OASIS dies, he offers up his vast fortune as the prize in an elaborate treasure hunt. Along with gamers from around the world, Wade joins the adventure, and quickly finds himself pitted against powerful corporate foes and other ruthless competitors who will do anything, in the oasis or the real world, to reach the treasure first. The film stars Tye Sheridan, Olivia Cook, Mark Rylance, Simon Pegg, and Ben Mendelsohn.

The Walking Dead Season 8 Trailer #1 *From Comic Con 2017*

I have fallen off The Walking Dead myself with all of the other shows out there, the zombie drama that never ends has gotten stale.  That being said, there are still hordes of you who haven’t so when Comic Con drops a five-minute trailer for the show’s upcoming eighth season, far be it from me to pass it along to the Deadheads.  Without even having seen it, I’m going to bet Rick is going to be very tense and wrought about something also Negan will probably drop a naughty.  Pure speculation.  The Walking Dead returns to AMC on October 22, 2017.
