Trailer Time: The Amazing Spider-Man 2 International Trailer #3 (2014)

This is it!  We swear!  The Final FInal FINAL Amazing Spider-Man 2 trailer and the third international trailer for the film offers some new footage, but at this point, I just want to see the daggone movie.  AMS 2 swings into theaters on May 2, 2014.

Amazing Spider-Man 2, Spider-Man, Andrew Garfield, Peter Parker

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: Oscorp.

Opening in 3D, 2D and IMAX 3D theaters on May 2, the Marc Webb-directed sequel stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Campbell Scott, Embeth Davidtz, Colm Feore, Paul Giamatti, Sally Field and B.J. Novak.

  1. It looks like there’s going to be a lot going on in this movie. Too much, I would normally think… way too much crammed in there. But for some reason I think this particular movie is going to hang together. I just hope that years from now, when the Amazing Spider-Man franchise has superseded the Raimi trilogy in the public consciousness, Spider-Man 2 is not lost in the shuffle, because it’s one of the best superhero movies ever made. I kind of feel like that’s already happened with Burton’s Batman movies… his 1989 Batman is hopelessly dated, but Batman Returns remains a twisted work of near-brilliance, and I don’t like the fact that it’s been overshadowed by Nolan’s trilogy.
