Amazingly adapted from my photo of Jan by my wife’s oldest son, Rick.
This is simply a follow-up to the KT Hiatus that was posted last week. The light of my life has gone out, and this is the official obituary of my late wife, Janice: The First Lady of Killing Time. She inspired and encouraged me to write every day on this site. I promised her when I went on hiatus that I’d “get my butt back to writing” just as soon as I could. Here’s a first baby step. I miss you, Dove. Continue reading The First Lady of KT is Gone. A Follow-Up to Killing Time’s Hiatus.→
A few people have noticed that posts have been a bit off-schedule and some columns have just cut out altogether over the last few months. I promised myself that when the time came that I could no longer keep to my once-a-day minimum, that I would put the column on a hiatus. Why? What’s this I’m going on all about? What the bloody hell is a “hiatus”! Continue reading KT Going on Hiaitus→
Guardians of the Galaxy, the #1 movie of the year (words I never thought I’d be typing), will hit home theaters on December 9th. There are some cool-sounding special features, but the second in a row Blu Ray release without a Marvel One-Shot. Those were awesome! BRING BACK GROOT IN ONE SHOT! HULK AND GROOT TEACH HUMAN TO ALIENS. It writes itself! Continue reading Guardians of the Galaxy Blu Ray/DVD Date and Details→
Here’s an amusing side road to take if, instead of reading this obviously stellar column, you’d rather let a debate between your friends dissolve into instead madness and chao……and your hands are already all up. You all disappoint me sometimes. Ok, is Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas a Christmas movie about Halloween or is it a Halloween movie about Christmas? All right? I can see cutlery has already made its way into the home office debate so I’m going to slink out the back and return when the screaming becomes less of a physical presence. ELAPSED TIME BREAK (9 hours 12 minutes 17 seconds). Continue reading My Favorite Scene: Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993) “What’s This?”→
There’s a reason these polls run for a month, the really big decisions. What’s the best TV show this year ran for a month and for that month, Game of Thrones lead 25 of those days with Arrow, The Walking Dead and Sherlock in a dead head behind it. Then, at the last minute, Sherlock blazes past last year’s winner and takes the crown from GoT. Sherlock is Killing Time’s 2014 Best Show on TV!
What do you think about the new champion? Where did your show finish?
