Warner Brothers has, via Entertainment Weekly (in case you missed their subtle stamp on everything), released several new images from next year’s Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice. The pictures don’t reveal much we didn’t already know aside that Lex Luthor will, at one point in the film, not be bald. I have no problem with the look of the film; it’s the amount being crowded into it and the tone of the first trailer that have me on edge.
Ben Affleck had some more insight into his Batman and where he’s at in his life saying, “We accept that he’s played by actors with different interpretations,” Affleck tells EW of the caped crusader, calling him the American version of Hamlet. Affleck went on to describe his version of the character, saying: “He’s at the end of his run and maybe the end of his life. There’s this sort of world-weariness to it…He’s on the verge of being swallowed up by the anger and the rage that we see haunt this character in the other manifestations of it, but this guy is further down the line and has become more embittered and cynical.”
Ok…..he did score major points with me saying that Batman is the American Hamlet. That’s….yeah, that’ll keep him for awhile in my book. Probably until I see the next trailer. Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice is set for release in March 2016.
