Obi-Wan Remembers the Truth (AMAZING FAN VIDEO)

Shahan Reviews cut together this amazing piece of Star Wars video art, and it really goes to show what an amazing fan community the saga has.  One of the best things about Episode VII is that it seems to have reunited and re-energized Star Wars fans and their creativity is showing.  Essentially they deftly weave Obi-Wan’s explanation to Luke of what happened to his father from Episode IV (which was an extremely dicey version of the truth) with the real events from Episode III  in a very powerful way.  The duel at the end of Episode III is the pivot point on which the entire Star Wars Universe moved and to see it woven together from the perspective of truth and “truth from a certain point of view” is really spectacular.

  1. So knowledge of Revenge of the Sith improves the viewing experience of A New Hope? Who would have thought? Even as I type these words the rift is being healed. Can you feel it?

The prequels no longer make up half the Star Wars movies. If you hate I-III, it doesn’t matter as much. If you think they are flawed, it’s a little easier to accept the flaws. And if you actually like them quite a bit, you can rest a little easier, because the fans now have things to discuss other than the perceived sins of George Lucas.

I’m proud to have stuck with Star Wars through the dark times. It turns out I wasn’t delusional after all, that my taste in movies was never as bad as they said. I was just ahead of the curve. We all were, those special few of us who understood the power of Lucas’s creation.
