21 Best Character Departures of All-Time

Back in February, we featured CineFix’s 10 Best Character Entrances and made a Killing Time list to accompany it.  The bookend to that is CineFix’s massive tear-jerking list of 21 Best Character Departures of All-Time.  Just as a great entrance can instantly put a stamp on an iconic character, how that character leaves us is what the audience will take out of the theater will them as they go home to digest the film.  Obviously a good-bye is less fun than a hello, and a lot of these good-byes are for good, but all are iconic and it’s tough to argue with any of the picks made in the list.  If you have any that weren’t, feel free to light up the comments with your own.

The Punisher Season 1 Trailer #1 (Netflix – 2017) “Coming to Collect”

Now that The Defenders is over and the original plan for the Marvel Cinematic Universe on Netflix has run its course (awesomely), what’s next?  Well, all four original series are getting new seasons; the third for Daredevil and second for Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist (who was much better in The Defenders than his own series).  In addition, a fifth show is joining the rotation in The Punisher, likely to debut on the streaming service this November.  Personally, I would have combined Luke Cage and Iron Fist into a Heroes for Hire show.  They’d have had a much deeper supporting cast and story possibilities than isolating them.  However, now that all of New York’s street-level crime fighters know each other, crossovers between the shows may become more frequent.
