Amazing Spider-Man 2 DVD and Blu-Ray Date And Details

Amazing Spider-Man 2, Spider-Man, Peter Parker, Andrew Garfield, Electro, Max Dillon, Jamie Foxx

Though I am still trying to cleanse my mental palate of having one of the greatest comic scenes in comic history reduced to a throwaway and while Paul Giamatti’s MOOSE AND SQUIRREL-esque Russian accent still wakes me late at night screaming, I can see by box office numbers that some of you do not share my passionate hatred for Amazing Spider-Man 2.  For you, because I am a tolerant and compassionate man (though I do sort of want to punch Marc Webb), here are the details of what you’ll find on The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Blu Ray, due to hit stores on August 19th…..I have to go punch my rage pillow now….. Movie Review: Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) *MAJOR SPOILER WARNING*

hr_The_Amazing_Spider-Man_2_21
It’s hard to believe, given the run of quality that’s spoiled comic book fans over the last decade, that someone could make a film that so completely misses the target audience. I honestly thought films of the quality of Elektra and Batman & Robin were behind us. I was wrong. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is not just a misstep; it’s a mind-boggling disaster of a film. In reaching to create a universe around the character, Sony has instead taken the very foundations of what it should have used to build and destroyed them. It is, quite simply, one of the worst comic book adaptations in recent years, and I want to reiterate that there are MAJOR SPOILERS to follow. Trailer Time: The Amazing Spider-Man 2 International Trailer #3 (2014)

This is it!  We swear!  The Final FInal FINAL Amazing Spider-Man 2 trailer and the third international trailer for the film offers some new footage, but at this point, I just want to see the daggone movie.  AMS 2 swings into theaters on May 2, 2014.

Amazing Spider-Man 2, Spider-Man, Andrew Garfield, Peter Parker

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: Oscorp.

Opening in 3D, 2D and IMAX 3D theaters on May 2, the Marc Webb-directed sequel stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Campbell Scott, Embeth Davidtz, Colm Feore, Paul Giamatti, Sally Field and B.J. Novak.

Trailer Time: Amazing Spider-Man 2 International Trailer #2 “The Rise of Electro” (2014)

Sony still has yet to repost the third AMS 2 trailer they pulled off the net after a brief outbreak, but today we get a new International Trailer for the film entitled “The Rise of Electro”.  Enjoy and count the days until The Amazing Spider-Man 2 opens May 2, 2014.

Trailer Time: The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Trailer #3 (2014)

UPDATE: Sony apparently was not ready to go primetime with trailer 3 yet and has yanked it from the net.  If you got a peek, lucky you.  I’ll post it back here when it’s re-released.

Just two weeks after the second trailer spun out of the Super Bowl ad, a third trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has debuted online.  I think by now we all know what’s coming for Spidey, but I’ll paste the official synopsis below.  AMS 2 swings into theaters on May 2, 2014.
